Snake Games

It's a Snake-Eat-Snake World

Snake, sometimes called Worm, is an absolute arcade classic, debuting in 1976 in the arcade game Blockade. '90s kids will remember playing it on their T1 calculators during math class. '00s kids will remember playing it on their Nokia pre-smartphones. Now it's one of the most popular games on the web, with hundreds of mobile apps and even more versions available online – like right here, where you can play any type of Snake game that tickles your serpent fancy, no downloads necessary.

Snake's gameplay is a little like Pac-Man in that you travel around a simple board of obstacles gobbling up goodies – except, instead of ghosts, your biggest foe is yourself. Your own tail, that is. And that tail grows and grows the more you gobble. So your obstacle is to make it as long as you can (in terms of both tail size and time) before you bite yourself in the rear end.

Your Snake doesn't have to involve a real (or virtual) snake, though. In Mouse House you can build a chain of mice to your breaking point, or play people pick-up with the bus-themed Fetch 'n' Stretch.  Or line up the seasonal giving (to yourself) with the Christmas present-themed Gift Grab. You can also make Snake a multiplayer experience in Snake.is, where you play against masses of other players, avoiding not only your own tail but theirs as well as you try to carve out the biggest color chunk of the Snake MMO empire.

Whatever way you want to play – a classic version, a multiplayer twist, or another new take on the tail-growing game, we've got all the snake games you need to pass as much time as you feel like. Will you bite?
