Between the start of Autumn and the first hard frost is the butternut squash season! If you love the sweet and nutty flavour of butternut squash, you’ll love this nourishing squash soup made with cinnamon and maple syrup.
How to play Butternut Squash Soup: Sara’s Cooking Class?
Follow Sara’s step-by-step instructions to make this hearty squash soup. Pick up the utensils from the counter by tapping on them. Follow the green arrows to prepare the ingredients. The steps are shown at the top of the screen.
The game has a learning mode and an exam mode. Learn the recipe first by following the instructions as shown on the screen. In the exam mode, you can test how well you remembered all the steps: Sara won’t give you any hints in this game mode.
Making the soup:
- First, cut the butternut squash open and scoop out the seeds. Slice the rest of the butternut squash into small pieces.
- Next, chop the garlic cloves and the onion into small pieces as well.
- You can then add the ingredients to the pan with some chicken or vegetable stock. Stir the ingredients well.
- When all the ingredients are cooked and softened, you can put them through the blender.
- Lastly, season the soup and pour it into a bowl. You can sprinkle some croutons on top as a finishing touch!
