An Important Message From Agame

It's like something straight out of an online video game. A huge pandemic has swept its way across the entire planet. Everything from school to work to vacations have all been put on hold. The lives of us all have been impacted.

Unfortunately, the Coronavirus is not something that can be fought with a bazooka or by matching up colorful gems. There's no miracle cures waiting to be discovered deep within an ancient temple or a dungeon full of monsters. All many of us can do is stay indoors, practice social distancing, and try to stay safe and informed, which is already enough of an adventure, right?

We here at Agame hope that you and your loved ones are all doing okay during the crisis. Here’s some tips to help you out during the weeks ahead along with a collection of some of our most awesome online games. You may not be able to hang out with your friends for the time being, but you can always team up with them for an epic quest, a futuristic battle, or a more low-key chess match in our free online games!

How You Can Protect Yourself and Others

Tips and tricks will really help you out while you play a video game. They can also help you stay happy and healthy in the days and weeks to come. Here are a few:

1. Wash Your Hands

The World Health Organization (also known as the WHO) says that you should definitely be washing your hands more often than usual. It's just one of the tips they've posted on their website as part of their WHO Kick Out Coronavirus campaign. Be sure to clean them with an alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water in these and other circumstances:

    • After you go outside.
    • If you're caring for a sick person.
    • After meals.
    • When you cough or sneeze.
    • When they’re dirty, of course!

2. Wash Your Hands For Longer, Too!

Don’t just run your hands quickly under a faucet and call it good! Make sure you scrub between your fingers and your fingernails a bit as well. Don’t forget your wrists either! The WHO says that you need to wash your hands for at least twenty seconds after lathering them with soap and with the water running. Lots of people have been using songs to make sure they wash for long enough. You can also use the Wash Your Lyrics website. It will match up hand-washing techniques with your favorite tunes!

3. Protect the World and Everybody Within It!

Every video game hero does what they can to protect norms and newbs alike while they try to save the day or complete an important mission. You can too during the Coronavirus outbreak. Be sure to cough and sneeze into your elbow. You should practice social distancing as well. Stay at least 6 feet (or 1.5 meters if you use the metric system) from other people whenever or wherever you go outside.

4. Contact a Medical Professional if You’re Feeling Sick

Most important of all, if you have a fever, are coughing, or are experiencing difficulty breathing, you or your parents or guardians should contact your healthcare provider. Be sure to tell them about your travel history and if you've been around other people with similar symptoms.

Additional information about the Coronavirus can be found on the WHO's website. If you could use additional guidance about when and how to use masks, cleaning a workplace, and many other topics, just visit the WHO's Advice for the Public page.

Here are Tons of Fantastic Online Games to Play Right Now!

It could be a few more weeks or even months before things start getting back to normal. Until then, check out some of the really cool online games on our website. You can enjoy many of them with other players from all over the world! Lots of them have active communities where you can chat with others when you're not trying to defeat them on a battlefield or while playing a board game. ;)

Stay safe, stay strong, and stay healthy. If we all follow these guidelines, and spend as much of our free time as possible indoors while playing video games, we will overcome this crisis!
