For Those Who Think Solitaire Is Too Easy

Already a Solitaire master and looking for a new challenge? Or sick of Solitaire, but looking for something similar with new gameplay and new rules? Play Freecell. Freecell Solitaire uses the same standard 52-card deck you are used to, and the goal of the game is still to sort the deck into its four suits from 2 to Ace, using the gameplay board to create stacks of cards that climb in face value, alternating in color, to get the job done. However, the Freecell twist is that, in addition to the four foundation spots (where you want all the cards to ultimately go), you get four empty cells that you can use to temporarily store cards as you shuffle them around the board. (That's why they call it the "free cell game.")

This might make the game sound easier, especially as all the cacades are dealt face up, meaning you can see every card on the board – but as each cell can only hold one card, you'll find your options more limited than expected. And what's more: you need those open spaces to move more than one card at a time. You can't move more cards than you have free cells. So, intense planning is needed!

Of course, all you need is a deck of cards to play the game. But when you play Freecell online, not only do you learn the rules and get guidance as needed along the way, but you have a variety of decks and themes to choose between! Celebrate spring with Easter Solitaire, for example. Or double the fun with Freecell Duplex. On Agame.com you'll discover tons of new ways to play.
