Look, you probably shouldn't be trusted with a scalpel, but the hospital seems to be short on surgeons. In Operate Now: Shoulder Surgery, you get to play doctor without spending a decade in med school (or dealing with legal drama in the aftermath of your operations).

Your patient is Noah, a guy who went a little too hard on the tennis court. He’s messed up his shoulder quite badly. He’s in agony, and apparently, you’re his best hope. 

Fortunately, OR-nurse Lara is here to see you through the operation. She’ll tell you which sharp metal instruments you need, and stop you from doing anything catastrophic.

How to Play Operate Now: Shoulder Surgery

During the prep phase and the actual operation, Lara will tell you what to do. Take a look at the available surgical instruments, and choose the one you think you need. Click on the green circles to follow the arrows as shown on the screen to move the scalpel and the arthroscope. 

Here is the game plan before you accidentally end this man's sports career:

• Scan the disaster: Run an ultrasound to confirm that his shoulder tendon is completely torn.
• Go microscopic: Create a tiny hole and insert the arthroscope. This tiny camera that lets you see the damage without having to open up Noah’s shoulder. That’ll keep the scarring to a minimum.
• Fix the mess: Trim away damaged tissue and bolt his torn tendon back to the bone with tiny surgical screws.

Unlock Expert Mode

Beat the surgery once with Lara’s help, and you’ll unlock Expert Mode. The safety rails disappear and you’re on your own. No hints, no guidance, just you, a clock, and a patient who trusts you were paying enough attention the first time round.
